Assignments for the week of April 19, 2010:
We have an upcoming K-12 Art Show we are preparing for May 4th. Public Viewing is from 6-8 pm. Free Admission
1st period - 8th Grade Exploratory -Clay slab pot 2nd period - 7th
Grade Exploratory - Oil Pastel Self Portraits, glazing clay bowls
3rd period - 6th Grade Exploratory -
Mola cut outs
4th period - 3-D Art - Recycled Materials Artwork in the style of Mr. Imagination 6th period
- Art 2 - Last Week for completion on two hand bound books. One Japanese/Chinese Bookbinding and one star book construction,
one needs to have 7 pages completed as assigned.
8th period - Drawing - Oil Pastel Drawing 8th period
- Studio Art - Advanced Self Directed Individual projects
Assessment / Evaluation
* Denver H.S. Late Work Policy
Any assigned homework is due on the specified due date given by the instructor in order to receive full credit. Any sutdent
who does not hand-in the homework on the due date has one additional day to complete the work at a chance to receive a maximum
of 50 percent credit. All day late assignments will have a maximum point total starting at 50 % of the original total points
and then missed points will be deducted from that total. If a student fails to hand-in the assignment after the one day late
50% allowance, then the student will receive a zero for that assignment.

& Response - Talk about art. Observation of efforts - with effort comes ability, give it time. Attendance &
Commitment. Hand in work on time.
Grading Scale- Guidelines
95-100% A = Superior, exceeding the expectations, artistically challenging 90-94% A- 87-89%
B+ 84-86% B = Above average, complete but may be lacking in originality or technique 80-83%
B- 77-79% C+ 74-76% C = Achieving the basics, ordinary 70-73% C-
67-69% D+ 64-66% D = Below average, not meeting all the requirements 60-63% D-
0-59% F = Failing to meet requirements, absence of any effort * Not turning anything in = a ZERO.
